We work for a more self-sustainable future through projects that educate, empower, and nurture our children.
Garden and Farm
We care for the land and harvest our own food (chiles, bananas, radishes, etc.). This work teaches our children the value of self-sufficiency, patience, and the production cycle.
Tortilla Workshop and Laying Hens
These projects not only provide fresh food for our dining hall daily, but also instill the value of discipline and promote a culture of hard work and sustainability for our Home.

Our Own Chapel
We have our own church, where the community and children can strengthen their relationship with God and find comfort in faith, providing constant spiritual support.
The Bakery of Hope
El Rincón del Pan — a bakery run by our children and volunteers — symbolizes love, effort, and community. Each loaf represents hope and opportunity, teaching responsibility while helping to support our mission.

I am 29 years old. I have a degree in pedagogy and have been working as a teacher for 6 years. I am very grateful for having been welcomed, for having been trained, and above all for receiving so much love and values that have helped me today as a person—to become better every day, to be more grateful in life, to understand that everything in life has a reason. Hogar Emanuel was the most important part and the strongest pillar in my life.

I am currently the coordinator of the team that directly cares for the children, which is the role of the educators. I came as a volunteer in 2004. It has been practically 18 years of being here, and it is one of the most beautiful stages and jobs I have done in my life. It is so important to be part of making a change in someone’s life, right? Hogar Emanuel focuses directly on providing the comprehensive care a child needs: teaching the basics, caring for them, teaching love for God, and instilling values. Our main focus is education.
